Chris Potter has an eye for color and contrast that's hard to beat. The range apparent in his portfolio is striking, shifting from startling close-ups of natural elements to broad panoramas and extending into gritty black-and-white realism. Chris, a designer in the publishing industry, came late to photography. Since going digital in 2002 with a Nikon Coolpix 5700 he estimates that he's taken more than 15,000 shots. To produce the high contrast in Beaches 2 and 4 , Chris used multiple exposures to create a High Dynamic Range image which he subsequently tone-mapped to a normal tone range. Chris plans on extending his skills in digital photography, with a view to venturing into specialised stock photography. |
